Work Experience

Developer

Jellyfish (Paid search agency) / Full-time / October 2010 – Present

I was promoted from Junior Developer to Developer in October 2010 at Jellyfish. As well as the promotion, I was also transferred to the creative team (they were previously a partner company known as Creative Uncle). My role at this team involves heavily on front end development work.

My current role involves:

Junior Developer

Jellyfish (Paid search agency) / Full-time / October 2009 – September 2010

I joined Jellyfish Ltd (a PPC (pay per click) agency situated in Reigate, Surrey) in October 2009 as a Junior Developer. I worked among a team of other developers to build and maintain Jellyfish’s in-house platforms & services (both back & front end). I was mainly involved in the front end of their main platform, and I work very closely with the business to provide an easy to use interface for the users. We use jQuery heavily in the front end of their platform.

I worked in an agile environment (using SCRUM). I took part in the whole SCRUM process regularly (i.e. planning, estimating, daily stand up and writing & tasking up user stories).

Freelance Web Developer

Source London Ltd / May 2009 – October 2009

I worked as a freelance web developer / PHP developer for Source London Ltd straight after university. Much of my work involved working with Wordpress, converting sites into Wordpress system and updating older WP sites with WP’s new template system.
